2019/20 Pack 231 Registration is OPEN / New families can apply online!

Thanks to all the returning scouts, prospective scouts and family members who came out for Pack 231 Recruitment Night on WEDNESDAY September 11th.  It was really great to see so many friendly faces and see the kids having such a blast.  The biggest surprise of the evening is that we achieved a critical mass of kindergarteners looking for a Lion Den!  A former Eagle Scout & father of a new Lion volunteered to be Den Leader.  We've already got six boys & girls registered plus inquiries from families have been coming in ever since - please email cubmaster@231cubs.com for more information.

Registration is still open to all families of the Unionville Chaddsford, West Chester, Garnet Valley and local private schools interested in being part of our award winning program.  The online calendar here on 231cubs.com is being filled out and a printable PDF can be downloaded from the bottom of this announcement.  You can also complete the registration online via BeAScout.org - use this LINK.

FLYER FOR DOWNLOAD: Webelos Woods with Troop 31 @ Trap Pond State Park, Laurel, DE

Trap Pond was once the site of a large freshwater wetland and still hosts the country's northernmost natural stand of bald cypress trees. The pond was created in the late 1700s to power a sawmill used in harvesting the bald cypress. The federal government purchased the pond and surrounding farmland during the 1930s, and the Civilian Conservation Corps began to develop the area for recreation. Trap Pond became one of Delaware's first state parks in 1951.
