Welcome!

Pack 231 is a thriving Cub Scout unit including families with elementary students in Chadds Ford, Hillendale, Pocopson and neighboring private schools. The Pack is chartered by the Longwood Rotary and run by parent volunteers. Cub Scouts is a family-focused program designed for boys and girls in K-5th.

We hold meetings and plan activities throughout the school year. We emphasize fun while promoting the purposes and values of Cub Scouting. Click here for more information about joining Pack 231.

2012 Pinewood Derby Schedule and Rules

Here is the schedule for the derby:

Wed, Jan 25 - Registration 6-8pm

- bring your completed car, as close to 5oz as you can get

- there will be tools and supplies on hand to make adjustments as needed

- section of track will be available for testing

- scouts will each be photographed for our projection system

Sat, Jan 28 - Pinewood Derby Race 1-3:30pm

- this year's event will be held in the PES Cafeteria

- light refreshments/drinks will be available

- families welcome

Mark your calendar now for Troop 52's 7th annual Ken Trimble Cub Day. Cub Day will be held on Saturday October 22, 2011 at the Brandywine Valley Association. Calling all boys... If you love to get outdoors, build cool things, play games, and have fun with friends... Cub Scouts is for you! Boys who are in 1st through 5th grades can join Pack 231, Pocopson Elementary School's Cub Scout unit. We will hold our annual "School Night" Cub Scout registration at 7 pm on Tuesday evening, September 6th in the Pocopson School Cafeteria. There will be information for parents and fun activities for the boys. Come and find out about Pack 231, and learn what Scouting can do for your son!
