Pack 231 is a thriving Cub Scout unit including families with elementary students in Chadds Ford, Hillendale, Pocopson and neighboring private schools. The Pack is chartered by the Longwood Rotary and run by parent volunteers. Cub Scouts is a family-focused program designed for boys and girls in K-5th.

We hold meetings and plan activities throughout the school year. We emphasize fun while promoting the purposes and values of Cub Scouting. Click here for more information about joining Pack 231.

Bowlathon Information

 

Sunday, January 31st 1:15 - 3:15 pm @ Palace Bowling, Downingtown, Pa

The Bowl-A-Thon is Pack 231's primary fundraising event. Your participation is important to ensure we can continue to provide our boys with an award winning Scouting program.

Earn Your Outdoor Activity Award

If you Cub Scout went to Resident or Day Camp this past summer, and is active with his den or pack outdoor activities, he may be eligible to receive the Cub Scout Outdoor Activity award (see link below for requirements).

Food Drive Collection Saturday Nov 14

 

Deliver your canned items to Pocopson between 9-11 AM this Saturday (Nov 14) at Pocopson School near the front entrance area.

We will need assistance sorting items into separate boxes- it would be appreciated if you could help in this effort as bags are dropped off.

Pinewood Derby dates confirmed/ Volunteer needs

Pack 231's annual Pinewood Derby model car race will be held in the Pocopson Elementary School Gym on Friday, January 15th. Time to be confirmed.

Pinewood Derby registration will be held Tuesday, January 12 from 6-8 pm in the PES cafeteria. Your completed car will be weighed-in and adjustments made as needed to meet racing specs.

Fall Camp Out Information

Please see links below for directions and information on what you'll need at this weekend's camp out. We will hold this event rain or shine.

Please note: it has been brought to our attention that a bridge on route 272 has been intermittently closed. If indeed this is the case this weekend, a detour will be posted that will instruct you to use the exit for 472 which is one exit earlier than 272. We suggest following the detour and printing a map of the area for reference (or bring GPS), as the attached map might not be detailed enough. The other option would be to continue south into Maryland and make a right on Red Pump Road.
